Laying Down Roots rediscovers American villages' cultural roots by reviving a century-old tradition that helps neighbors improve their community through urban reforestation. A brief history of community tree planting and techniques demonstrate the tide is turning to reclaim our neighborhoods and our urban forests. Partially funded by a grant from Virginia Department of Forestry through the City of Falls Church, Virginia.
